I developed a lifelong love of music from the moment I first picked up a flute at the age of nine, followed quickly after by the piano as soon as my parents would let me! I completed AMEB exams on both the flute and piano as well as AMEB Music theory exams before going on to study music at University. I studied at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music in Hobart – (Studying a Bachelor of Music, specialising in performance with flute as my main instrument, and piano as my second study).

Initially tutoring school students during and then following my 4 years at the Conservatorium, I have continued as a private music tutor to many wonderful flute & piano students over the years since. I tutored in various primary & secondary schools throughout Hobart – including Mount Carmel College, Sacred Heart College, St Mary’s College, Emmanuel Christian School, Princes Street Primary and Immaculate Heart Primary. I’ve also taught privately from my home and over the years that has meant I’ve had the opportunity to not only teach younger students but also adult students. Many of those adults were complete beginners with no prior music experience, but they progressed beautifully and achieved their performance goals.

I’m really looking forward to helping all of my current and new students grow in the musicality and their joy in playing their instruments this year.
